Loretta "Retty" Bartley-Haney
Who are Retty's parents?The census records list her both as daughter and grandchild. She may be the daughter of:
- James "Jack" Bartley & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Parker
- James Haney & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Parker (Lizzie's 2nd marriage)
- a grandchild of James "Jack" Bartley & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Parker
I know very little about her and her life. According to the census records, her husband's surname was Blackwell. Together they had two children, Charlotte and Arthur. Arnetta (King) Bircher 1867-1939
Who were Arnetta King's parents and family and where in Ohio is she from? Arnetta King is the wife of William Derrickson Bircher, Sr., my great great grandfather. She is listed as born in both Macksburg,Ohio and Sumerset, Ohio but no parents names are given. The census records list too many Arnetta Kings, or variants, to trace. Emmer (Vance) Bircher 1904-1971
Who were Emmer's parents and family and where is she from? Emmer is the 2nd wife of my great grandfather, William Derrickson Bircher,Jr. According to family members, they married in the 1970s probably in Ohio prior to their deaths. She is listed as Emmer Walls in the 1930 Charleston,West Virginia census as William Bircher's housekeeper. The census also lists her as married but this may not be correct. Isaac Fraley 1861-after 1870
What became of Isaah/Isaak?Isaac is a twin son of Robert Fraley and Mary Jane Moore. He was born February 1861 in Carter County, Kentucky along with his twin brother Robert, my great great grandfather. He is listed in the 1870 Carter County, Kentucky census living with his mother, stepfather, James Jordan, the Jordan children and his Fraley siblings. After this census record, he disappears. George Washington and Katherine (Morton) Sexton family
My great great grandparents, George Washington and Katherine (Morton) Sexton of Carter County, Kentucky had thirteen children of which two died in infancy. Who were the two unknown siblings and when and where did they die?

Winnie (Sexton) Berry: May 1874 - between 1930 to June 1962
When and where did Winnie die?Winnie is the daughter of George Washington and Catherine K. (Morton?) Sexton. She married George Andrew Berry 21 July 1897 in Carter Co., Kentucky. Her life is well documented, being found both in the census records from 1880 to 1930 and her marriage record to George.
After the 1930 census, she disappears. George's death certificate states that he is a widower but the Kentucky Death Index does not list her, at least in some recognizable form. If you have information about Winnies' place and date of death, please contact me.
Malinda Sexton aka Lena Ellen Sexton aka Ella Collins: 1889-1930
Is my great grandmother Lena Ellen Sexton, aka Ella Collins, the daughter of George W. Sexton and Katherine Morton? If so, is she Malinda Sexton? The 1910 Carter County, Kentucky Census, page 1 and page 2 , lists Malinda as a daughter. Family stories and circumstantial evidence connect her to George and Katherine as their daughter but no documentation exists that states this. If my great grandmother and Malinda are not the same person, who is Malinda Sexton? If you know anything about her or Malinda, please contact me.

When and where did William Sexton die?William is the brother of George Washington Sexton. I am trying to determine the details of his death. I can place him in Carter County,Kentucky as late as July 1888. If you know anything about his death, please contact me.

Ella S. Miller: 1874/1876-1951
Who are Ella's parents?My sources state they are James W[illiam] Miller and Margaret [?]. According to family members, her mother's name was Margaret and she had three girls and two boys. If you know anything about her Miller family, please contact me.
